So… I saw this.
Sorry, bro, but I have to disagree.
Jonathan Kent showed protectiveness of a father to his son. He didn’t want Clark exposing himself, because of the consequences it might bring (think being exploited by the government, being experimented, being used as a war tool, being the cause of panic among people, being treated like that of a freak in a circus or an animal in a zoo). Jonathan didn’t say those kids should drown, he said, “Maybe” because he was unsure what was the right thing to do. He was conflicted between being a good citizen and being a good father. He let himself be killed because of that same reason. He didn’t want to Clark to expose himself. The issue of him dying is of “Trust and Faith” than just plain saving. Clark trusted his father’s decision. He trusted that his father judgment in saying that it wasn’t the right time yet for the world to know him yet.
Lara cried when Krypton was destroyed if you’ve not noticed it. There was a tear running down her cheek, but there was also a sense of helplessness and resignation of the planet’s fate, which is why she didn’t act like a madwoman. She also cried when Jor-El died. Dude, did you even watch the movie?
Uhhh… I don’t get what you meant by Clark Kent’s existence being cut from the movie. Clark was there in the movie. (1) He was there when he saved the people in the oil rig, (2) he was there when he saved the kids from drowning, and (3) he was also there when he saved Lois from that Kryptonian robot when she snapped a picture of it.
As for being Superman and in his suit, (1) he saved the entire human race when he gave himself up to the military, (2) he saved Lois when she fell from outer space, (3) saved his mother when Zod and his cronies threatened her, (4) he saved that falling soldier from the helicopter, (5) saved Hardy when Faora was about to gut him out, (6) saved the world again when he destroyed the world engine at the Indian Ocean, risking his life even when Lois told him that it might kill him because the effect of being near that ship was like being in Kryptonian atmosphere, (7) saved the people on that plane when Zod was about to blast it, and (8) saved that family in the train station, not the mention the whole world, when Zod went on a killing spree.
Like I said, spoon-feeding information. Too many damn idiots who can’t think for themselves.
